A Walk for Jae

Picture

In 2008, Jason Wilson (known by those that love him as Jae) a 16 year old young man was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL); and since has suffered several side effects related to his chemo protocol such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and a stroke which has left him brain injured. Jae also suffers from Avascular Necrosis (AVN); and recently had surgery which causes him chronic joint pain.

On Saturday, July 27, 2013 Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. held a 'Walk for Jae' at Owens Field, Williamstown, NJ. Many people came out to show their love and support for Jae and his family! There are no words to express the gratitude that all of us who know Jae has for those that attended, donated, and supported the family.

TC would like to give special thanks to Debbie McGowan who spearheaded the walk; we could not have done it without her! We'd also like to thank the two top Team Leaders, Frank McGowan and Gabe Rivera!
Thanks to all of the supporters, we were able to raise over $3,000 to help the Wilson family with a down payment on a reliable vehicle that will ensure Jae is able to make his much needed appointments!

As our motto says, "It takes a village to raise a child"; all of those that participated in the 'Walk for Jae' did so with hopes to make a difference in this young man's life, and we truly thank each and every one of you!
