We believe that within every individual there is the potential to achieve greatness. Our vision is to successfully help individuals and families achieve excellence as it is defined by them. Although we provide services to all ages, TC's staff places great care on youth. Our motto, "It takes a village to raise a child," is one that resonates throughout our organization's culture. The services provided to our clients allow them an opportunity to receive the support, resources, and guidance they need to ensure a healthy transition into great mental and emotional health, success, and happiness.
Our goal is to be a positive force in the lives of many, particularly those who otherwise would not be able to obtain services and resources to help empower and strengthen them or their families. Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. aims to be a valuable voice within the nucleus of many communities, Creating Healing, Answers, and Necessary Guidance for Excellence!
Tomaro's C.H.A.N.G.E. was founded by a woman who sees the mission of the organization as more than just a dream. As the founder of TC, a Mental Health Therapist, Life Coach and Community Advocate, Mrs. Pilgrim wears many jackets. For over a decade, she has provided community-based, family-centered counseling and support that strengthen, encourage and guide individuals, youth, couples, and families who seek to improve their lives based on their desires.
Her professional experience includes teaching parenting education, basic life skills, motivation, stress/depression/anxiety, relationship issues, juvenile delinquency, loss of a parent due to addiction, divorce or incarceration, and meditation. She currently works with children, families, and individuals to help them realize their inner strength, equip them with the tools, skills, and motivation they need to lead happier, healthier lives as they perceive it.
Mrs. Pilgrim places most of her efforts in assisting individuals who are uninsured, underinsured or who are unable to afford the care they need, and on parents who are unable to afford the basic needs for their children. She prides herself on working with her clients as part of a team as they benefit from the support, guidance, and information that is relevant to helping them reach their goals.
Mrs. Pilgrim’s educational Background: BA in Psychology; MS in Counseling; MS in Human Services; Certification – Board Certified Human Services Practitioner; Certification – Advanced Graduate Course Studies in Human Services (dissertation in progress – PhD, Human Services); and life.
